THE RIGHT SCOPE FOR YOUR PROPERTY

What DBW provides

The right starting point is an assessment, not an assumption that everything needs replacing. Tell us whether you are renovating, extending, moving into an older home or responding to an inspection report. We arrange for the electrical requirements to be reviewed and explain the proposed work before you commit to a programme.

Full and partial rewires

A scope based on the rooms and circuits being changed, including the positions of sockets, switches and lighting. Access to floors, ceilings and walls is considered alongside any other building work.

Consumer unit replacement

Assessment of the existing circuits and proposed protection before a replacement is specified. A new board and a full rewire are different projects; the required work depends on what is found.

A coordinated renovation

We discuss the sequence of electrical work, planned power interruptions, testing and handover. The quote identifies the electrical scope and how any additional findings will be handled.

OUR EXPERIENCE & APPROACH

A coordinated approach to work in your home

DBW's published domestic portfolio includes completed stairwell lighting, and customer feedback covers lighting and fitting work. For a rewire or board upgrade, we apply the same clear point of contact and agreed-scope approach, with qualified electricians carrying out the electrical work and appropriate certification provided.

YOUR QUESTIONS

Service FAQs

Does an old fuse box mean I need a full rewire?

Not necessarily. The condition and suitability of the wiring must be assessed separately from the consumer unit. We explain the findings before recommending a scope.

Can I stay at home during the work?

This depends on the extent of the work, safe access and the periods when power is unavailable. Discuss occupation and working-from-home needs at the survey so the programme can account for them.

What paperwork will I receive?

The appropriate electrical certification for the agreed work. We clarify any applicable Building Regulations notification arrangements before work begins; ask us to include the required documentation in your quotation.
