SECURITY & CONNECTIVITY / DBW ELECTRICAL
DBW Electrical plans and installs Ethernet and data cabling for workstations, network equipment and connected systems. We help organise practical cable routes and connection points around your premises.

THE RIGHT SCOPE FOR YOUR PROPERTY
A wired connection can give a fixed desk, access point or network device a dedicated route back to the network. We discuss the number of outlets, the devices they will serve and the position of existing network equipment. The scope distinguishes the cabling work from internet service provision and any IT configuration you need your IT provider to manage.
Ethernet outlets positioned for workstations, printers and other agreed equipment, with routes considered alongside the room layout.
Cabling for compatible access points, IP cameras and other devices, with equipment and power-over-Ethernet requirements reviewed during planning.
Cable identification and the agreed testing scope included in the proposal. Existing cupboards, patching arrangements and available space are reviewed before new connections are added.
OUR EXPERIENCE & APPROACH
DBW's wider installation portfolio includes CCTV and multi-door access control. That work gives context to the way cables, equipment and building access need to be coordinated. For an Ethernet project, we agree the specific cable installation, testing and IT responsibilities with you before work starts.

YOUR QUESTIONS
We can assess a connection between buildings. Distance, route and the site conditions determine the appropriate approach, which may include options other than a standard copper run.
It cannot increase the speed of the internet service you buy. It can address the local connection between devices and your network where that connection is the limiting factor.
IT configuration and internet-provider responsibilities are agreed separately from the physical cabling scope. We can coordinate the installation with your IT contact.
